This year, I have delegated the tasks of our Basketball team and Poster Contest to two responsible students. …
We hope to have a fun and successful week next week!
I think that this is a wonderful asset to Saint Genevieve.
My family and I look forward to learning about the new blog.
Welcome to our new Blogging section! We hope that this will be a great vehicle of communication. Your comments and suggestions will be read and discussed with our faculty and together we hope to build a stronger, brighter school in the next year. We are facing many challenges, including financial challenges, which we hope to find solutions for together with you who have already given so much for your children. God bless. Sr. Teresa
I think this is a great asset to the school and look forward to viewing it often.
I think it’s swell that this year we will be doing Catholic Schools week differently, because this is my last year.
I think that this catholic school’s week will be better than the others. I also say this because this will be my last year here.
Well, I think this years catholic school’s week is better than last year. I like the fact the children made cards for the priest and the community
This year’s catholic schools week was pretty fun. Career dress-up day was really interesting, and I wore a suit, ahaha. I hope next catholic schools week would be even near as great as this one, because this year has a week I’ll be sure never to forget.
I think this catholic schools week was fun but confusing a little. I say that because this is my first year here so it was fun to see new things but it was a little confusing because I didn’t know what to do most of the time.
This week was fun because of all the activities we had. The basketball tournament was fun because of all the competition. We won the whole thing and everyone was screaming and cheering for us. They were fun and exciting for everyone. It would be great to have another next year.
I really liked how we set up the basketball tournament . It was a very fun experience to watch as I was not in it. I liked how the teachers encouraged our excitement. This was a very fun week to be a part of. These are perfect examples of why this school is so great. I’ve been here since fourth grade and out of all those times of catholic schools week, this one was the best.
I think that this week has been very very fun and I like how we did actual things that students enjoy this time. I liked the basketball game because I got to scream a lot because usually when I do that in some classes I get in trouble so its awesome that I got to do that. The best part was the basketball game because I don’t care about the Holy Jeopardy. Even if I wasn’t in it, it was still fun because of the screaming at students so this week has been fun
I think this was the best Catholic schools week there was in a few years. The sports day wasn’t just to dress up in sports attire and have extra recess, we actually did something sports related. The holy jeopardy was also interesting. So in overall, this was a very good week.
I think that this week was really fun! I really enjoyed all the activities we did. Especially the basketball game. It was fun watching my class play three different games and watching the teachers play basketball.
This week at catholic week it was a lot of fun. We dressed up on career day as what we wanted to do when we grow up. their was a lot of fun but i have to say that sports day was the best. 7A really did their best and we had fun. So was 8A they were not happy especially cabala. It was great though that we won the championship against 6A. we were all happy and that was great. this catholic schools week was great!!!.
I think that Catholic Schools week was a lot better this year than last year. The thing that i had fun doing the most was the basketball tournament. I liked the basketball tournament because i was actually on one of the teams. Also our team won the tournament so thats what made it exciting for me. I loved this years Catholic schools week.
I relay enjoyed catholic schools week because of togetherness about beating the other teams at the basket ball tournament. I also enjoyed government day because we had the opportunity to dress up like the person we want to be.
Well, I’d have to say that this year’s Catholic School’s Week was more “spirited” than last year’s. For the Holy Jeopardy, I didn’t really do my best, but at least third place is better than last. On Wednesday, I dressed normally instead of using a poor attempt at becoming a “fashion designer”, or a “scientist” with regular clothes underneath. At first I thought of being a regular “pedestrian”, but I think that would’ve landed me with…something bad. On Thursday, I had no doubts that our class would beat 7B in the basketball tournament, but I was really surprised when Neecole made the basket that won the match when we used to be behind by one point! After that, I went back to being sure that we would go all the way. As for the door designing competition, everyone knows that 5A wins, but we’re feeling pretty confident that we might have a shot. I guess that the best part of Catholic Schools’ Week was when Mr. Lopez showed us “Volcano High” for student appreciation day. It was funny, and yet, practical.
catholic schools week was fun. one of favorite days was students day. And the company day where we had to dress up as what we want to be that was really fun. And I wish this week would go on longer but all great weeks have to end.
This Catholic School’s week was the best. We had our teams for the basketball tournament set up, but apparently we needed 2 girls playing at all times. Even if we had to rearrange our teams, we still won. We tried our best and that’s that. The basketball tournament was a great idea. The Holy Jeopardy went well. It was just like the other past Holy Jeopardy contests. Overall I had fun.
I was so exited for this week because we had a really good basketball game to watch. My friends and I were cheering so much for our school spirit and for the team 7A to win. But the thing I learned is that it is not winning or losing it is to have fun. This week has really changed me a lot because I learned not to give up and try my best to make a goal. And we also did fun activities like playing with our buddies and making projects with them.
This week has been a life changing experience. I turned thirteen this week and I spent it with all my friends and I had a really fun time. I entered the holy jeopardy and I was really nervous. I forgot some of the answers just being and I hurt my elbow and two of my fingers ringing the bell. I was also on the XLBT and we won the basketball tournament. I had so much fun and it was so intense especially when one of my teammates [ Neecole MVP] made the shot to help us get to the finals and we won. It was an exciting experience and an honor to be on Xerxes’ and Mr. Lopez’s team. Catholic Schools Week has been a great experience and the best week I ever had.
Catholic schools week this year was different than the other years I have been here at S.G. There wasn’t as much activities as last year. But, I liked the basketball tournament because we got first place. Although we didn’t win anything, it still felt good to win. The other teams were good too but we actually practiced before and we tried or best. This week was pretty fun and educational and I’m pretty sure it will be the same or even better next year.
In my point of view I think this was a great Catholics school week. My favorite part about this week was the basketball tournament. Even thought I didn’t play it was really fun watching and screaming. Holy Jeopardy was interesting to even though we lost. Overall I think this week was a very great week!
This catholic schools week was pretty fun. It was way better than last year’s since this is my last year here. I really liked the basketball tournament on Thursday because we had a bunch of teams, and everyone was all cheering and in the spirit.
Our class also made T-shirts with their names on it with the number, and 7A. This catholic schools week really got me in the spirit. I also liked government day because you can dress up what you wanna be when you grow up.
This years catholics schools week has been amazing. I honestly think that this was better than any other catholic schools week I’ve had. The poster we made is awesome because we made it look like a piece of notebook paper. It was fun painting it. Those who painted the poster also made the jerseys that we wore in the tournament. The tournament was tiring. Although, I made the winning shot against 8A.
This week was a great experience and it was really fun. My classmates worked really hard on making the door poster and it came out really nice. Even though my class didn’t win the Holy Jeopardy we were still happy for the other class. I actually learned something on government day. The basketball tournament was really fun. It got super intense. My class was cheering for us to win. In the end this week was fun and i can;t wait to do it again.
Well this week was fun and exciting especially the basketball game and how me and jessica had the crowd cheering for our class. What an awesome day and beating the 8th graders and the 6th graders was fun too. i enjoyed it a lot and being with friends and classmates. So I would have to say this was the best catholic school week!
This week during catholic schools week, the most exciting part for me was taking pictures during the basketball tournament. I had to run around most of the time trying to find two double A batteries. Directly before the seventh grade played against each other, Mrs. Jasso had a pair in her office. I ran up and down trying to focus on a face when making baskets and running after one another during the game and surprisingly, I had gotten good shots. 7A one the tournament, which was awesome! This week was great. Go team XLBT!
catholic schools week
I thought that catholic schools week was fun. The basketball games for the upper games was a great idea. The 8th grade vs. The 7th grade was very fun to see but a lot of 8th graders got upset. Watching the little kids go through the obstacles was hilarious. Did you see that a lot of kids were messing up. now its teachers appreciation and the class is so quiet. If it wasn’t teachers appreciation them we would all be talking right now.
This week has been awsome and fun. I wish we would have Catholic Schools Week every week. Hehe, but really, this week was really fun. The Basketball tournament was a special moment for the XLBT. They won and I’m glad to call them winners. On Government day, we didn’t do much activities, but we did meet NED. Yes he is cardboard, but we learned Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. This year’s Catholic Schools Week was actually the best one I have had so far, since I can’t remember the past ones. I’m looking forward to next year’s Catholic Schools Week.
This week has been CRAZY, but I loved it. This week I’ve been painting posters for the door contest and t-shirts for the basketball team. They were really fun to do because we had to use our imagination and creativity. Another highlight of the week was the Basketball Tournament! We, 7a, won! I think the team won because during the week everyone’s been practicing and having fun. We never bragged about anything or trash talked the other classes. We were confident but stayed humble. Although I wasn’t actually on the team, I loved cheering and having the younger graders cheer with me. It was loads of fun for me and I hope that the little kids had as much fun as I did. I can’t wait for next years Catholic School’s Week.
This Catholic Schools Week was better than last year’s, but I still expected more activities. My favorite part of this week was the sports day, especially the basketball tournament, and I hope we can do another tournament sometime soon. Overall, I think this year’s Catholic Schools Week was Great.
I think that this catholic school week was the best because we didn’t get to switch classes and we got to spend time with are friends. When it was thursday it was sports day and also are day for the students. we had a basket ball game against the 7b class and we won against them. it was so intense that we stared cheering and screaming for them that are throats stared to hurt. then we won in the finals against 8th grade and the 6th grade it was the best time ever.
I think this year of was really great because I was in charged to do the door contest my friends helped me .I really liked the shirts that we made ,also I really liked the basketball game. One day from this week a sister came to our classroom I really like what she said about her friends that help each other out.I also like the project with our buddy’s.
Monday through Wednesday, I made a poster and t-shirts for our classmates which was for our basketball tournament, that we won. & Today is Friday, Teacher’s Appreciation Day, and I hope my class & I won’t be such a burden.
At Catholic Schools Week I played with my computer and PSP it was fun. We won the first tournament of the high grades! But we didn’t win the door picture. It would be cool if we won all of it.
7A for the win!
This week was actually really fun. Monday we finished our class door poster/banner thing. We got many comments on how nice it looked and i felt good to say I helped do it. Wednesday was career day. When i got to school I was many people dressed up as what they wanted to be when they get older, I myself dressed up. Thursday was sports day and student appreciation day. We had a basketball tournament and our class [ 7a ] won! I was watching as I did the score board with my friend Christian Manzon. All in ll this week was making me tired, but I loved it, it was really fun.
This Catholic Schools Week was actually pretty fun. Especially Student Appreciation Day. Our basketball tournament really proved how we can work as a team to reach a goal and win. We had the best coach Xerxes as our leader. Everyone pretty much underestimated us, but we did well. Sure there were a few moments where it kind of got out of control, but it all worked out. Holy Jeopardy was pretty exciting. And so was the Yo-Yo NED assembly…..So pretty much, that’s what I enjoyed this Catholic Schools Week.
I like Catholic School’s week activities. I had so much fun and I would like to have these activities again next year if we can. I enjoyed this Catholic School’s week more than last years. I guess it was because of the basketball tournament. Overall I liked this weeks activities.
I liked this Catholic Schools Week. It made the whole week fun. Especially on student’s Appreciation Day, because the whole 7B got donuts, and everyone didn’t get homework. Today, we gave Ms. Tran a gift card from Macy’s and everyone signed it. On Government Day, people dressed up on what they wanted to be when they grew up, and a lot dressed in medical fields. On the day that we had Holy Jeopardy, Regina won, but overall 7B won.
This week of Catholic Schools week was really fun. On Student Appreciation day, it was such a blast to see the teachers play against each other and the students too. Also on Government Day it was interesting to lean what is happening in our economy and everything. This was the most fun I had in a long time and it was so fun to see it all!
This Catholic Schools week was actually fun. When we were doing the student appreciation day, it was really tense watching the basketball tournament. It was tense because we didn’t know who would really win. Also the Holy Jeopardy was exciting, and the Yo-Yo guy NED was crazy with doing those tricks. Then we had government day which was alright. I pretty much liked this Catholics Schools Week.
I think this week at Catholic Schools week was cool because of all these games and appreciation of lots of teachers, students and priests and nuns. But the most fun day that I liked was Sports day or Student appreciation day because there was no homework and we got to get together for a tournament. Everyone had fun even though some people lost.
This years Catholic Schools week was actually fun. The teachers played basketball which was funny. Mrs. Tran bought the whole class some doughnuts on Student Appreciation Day, which I ate in about 15 seconds. Holy Jeopardy was exciting this year. Pretty much this whole week was awesome, that’s why I enjoyed Catholic Schools week.
This catholic school week I really had fun. I enjoyed watching our class’ representative in holy jeopardy, then ask people who dressed up what they want to be “What are you suppose to be”. I also enjoyed cheering for our class in the basketball tournament even though we lost. I was also amazed with the NED show because the yo-yo tricks are awesome. Those are the things I did and felt on this week’s catholic schools week.
I thought that this Catholic Schools Week was pretty fun. The Ned assembly was pretty fun, also Government Day, but i was kind of disappointed when the majority of people I saw were doctors. So to sum it all up, this week was all right.
The Catholic Schools Week was fun. The best day for me would be Student appreciation day. Thats because us, the students are honored. Most importantly we had the basketball tournament. When the teachers went against each other that was pretty cool. Holy Jepordy and the NED yoyo assembly was fun too.
That is what and why i enjoyed about Catholic School Week.
I think that Catholic Schools Week was fun. It was fun to watch the Holy Jeopardy, although it was obvious who was going to win. The basketball tournament made my ears hurt because of everyone cheering. On government day most of the people in our class dressed as some type of doctor. The NED assembly was also fun to watch. All in all it was fun and exciting.
This Catholic School week was actually fun. Student Appreciation day was fun. The basketball tournament was exciting even though we lost to 7A. At Career Day I dressed up as a scientist which made me feel older. It was very fun to dress up who I wanted to be when I grow up. The Holy Jeopardy was pretty exciting to and the Yo-Yo assembly. Today is Teacher Appreciation day and I hope we won’t give a hard time for the teachers.
I think it was fun watching the teachers playing basketball. Government day was fun because we got to dress up like what we wanted to be in the future. Their were not a-lot of activities but it was still fun. We didn’t win the basketball tournament but we had fun.
This week was kinda fun. There so many things that happen this week that I liked. It was fun when it was sports day because like you can see teachers playing basketball and also students. Holy Jeopardy was exciting because they were really good and of course 7-B won 1st and 2nd place but we lost in the tournament for basketball.
This catholic schools week was exciting with the new activities such as the basketball tournament. This years student appreciation day was better than last years. The yo-yo Ned assembly was so much fun. They did so many cool tricks with a single yo-yo. I pretty much enjoyed Catholic Schools Week.
This Catholic schools week was fun. It was much more better than the one we had last year. The best part that i liked about Catholic schools week was the basketball tournament. My team got a little to cocky and we lost. Even though we lost it was fun seeing 7A win against teams we didn’t know that would lose to them.
This week, Catholic Schools Week, I actually thought it was fun and I enjoyed it. I especially liked the Student Appreciation Day because I thought it was fun to see teachers playing basketball and even my own classmates. It was pretty fun cheering for my class and even Ms. Tran was cheering so loud .I think that this year’s Catholic Schools Week was much better than last year’s. This whole week was pretty tiring but i think it was great!
This week was a really fun week. I especially liked Student Appreciation Day. It was fun watching the basketball tournament because we were all able to cheer for our classmates. I also liked Career Day because I was able to wear my mom’s jacket and was also able to bring her stethoscope. Catholic’s Schools week is a really fun week. We are given chances to do many things.
this week was fun I had a good time. The most fun time was the basketball game in the gym. It was funny and cool looking at them play. Most of the people were good some of the girls were good to. The day that you dressed up for what you want to be in the further was cool. So this was a great time.
For me Catholic schools week was one of the best weeks out of the whole school year for me. One of the best of his whole week that everyone liked was student appreciation day where we got to play basketball even though we lost it was still a fun game and it was fun to actually be a part of it. I also liked Holy Jeopardy because I was able to be a part of it and I came out in 2nd place which was awesome. And I felt happy, full of life, and it was fun.
I also liked teacher’s appreciation day because we got to give some stuff to our teacher. And this is what I liked about Catholic schools week.
Catholic Schools week was an amazing experience to me and I would like to experience this moment again. On Tuesday we got to meet Sister Jones and she shared her experience with us. Later on that day we had Holy Jeopardy and our class won! On Wednesday we have government day and we got to dress up as what we wanted to be when we grow up. I chose to be a pediatrician, and yes that is what i want to be when i grow up. We learned about our economy and us loosing our houses. On Thursday was our day, student appreciation day! We spent almost the whole day out of class. We had a basketball tournament. Our class lost, but watching the rest of the tournament was exciting. Also teachers played basketball. It was crazy! I had so much fun and i will remember it.
Catholic schools week was in fact very fun for me. I appreciated that they put student appreciation day, priests/sisters appreciation day, government day, and even teachers appreciation day! I’m happy that we had sports on Thursday where fifth thru eighth got to play against each other. But what I learned most was that Catholic Schools Week is to have a good week.
This catholic schools week was very interesting and fun. I thought that the basketball tournament was very cool and interesting. I liked the holy jeopardy because it was fun. And there was the NED assembly that was pretty cool. I learned a lot of things this week. This year was very interesting and cool. I hope that next year will be as fun as this year.
This catholic school week is fun,I enjoyed this week so much. The sports day is so fun i like it so much because a lot of people was screaming at the gym and supporting each team. We lost in 7a but were still happy because we tried are best.
This week was very fun because most of the students got to participate. My favorite part was the basketball tournament because there was a lot of screaming and cheering for the basketball teams. The second part I liked was watching NED doing yo-yo tricks. The Holy Jeopardy was also fun because we got to see our classmates doing their best at the questions. All in all, this has been he best Catholic School’s week!
This week was AWESOME and CRAZY! Student Appretiation was VERY different from last year. We didn’t get the chance to watch a basketball game with teachers and friends included. I had so much fun at the basketball tournament because Jamie and I cheered our team and our friends. We went wild!!!! Holy Jeopardy was too much! I went crazy when my friends were winning with a lot of points. I didn’t participate that much because I wanted to cheer my friends on!!! I hope next year’s Catholic School Week will be better.
To me, this years catholics schools week was a little bit better than last years. There were a lot of things going on every day of this week. Student Appreciation Day was the best. We all had a lot of fun cheering for the teams that were playing. Even though our team lost, it was still very exciting. The NED show was pretty cool. We got to see some cool tricks done by that one guy and learn some things. Thats pretty much what I liked about Catholics School Week.
Catholic schools week was very fun for me. I loved all the activities we had. The day I liked the most was student appreciation day. We had an obstacle course and basketball games from 5-8 grade. This week was very fun and entertaining I learned a lot about character in the Ned show and how we should never give up. I loved all of the activities. This was the best Catholic Schools Week ever!!
I think that catholic schools week is kinda fun. I like that we have student and teacher appreciation day because the students don’t get to have homework, we get to wear free dress, and we have extra recess, sometimes. I also think that teacher appreciation day is a good idea because it shows how much all the teachers at this school do. I liked the basketball game that the whole school watched. It was fun. I thought it was okay because we were just doing it for fun. Holy Jeopardy was okay too. Overall Catholic Schools Week was fun.

Thursday was sports day and students appreciation day. There was a basketball tournament. I wasn’t on the team but I was keeping score with Alexis. Sadly, 7-B lost but I am happy for 7-a and xerxes because they won. We also got donuts from Mrs. Tran.
Catholic School’s Week this year was the best Catholic School’s Week so far. The most fun i had was the the basketball tournament even though our team didn’t win, I still liked cheering for my team and any other team i wanted to cheer for. I also liked winning the Holy Jeopardy even though i was just watching. I was still happy for the team we went against, they tried hard and they could have won too. I also liked the NED assembly and watching the speaker do the cool Yo-Yo tricks and also learning about never giving up. So all in all, this was the best Catholic’s School’s week so far.
Catholic school week was an awesome experience. It inspires us on what to do in our future life. Student appreatiation day was also great. Teachers appretiation day helped me understand how hard my teachers work to make a better person. So my whole Catholic school week went just fine.
Catholic School’s week here at St. Genevieve was fun for me and for a lot of people. I especially enjoyed Holy Jeopardy, the NED show, and student appreciation day. Holy Jeopardy was fun to watch since the contestants were really serious about it. One person even made the buzzer drop by smashing it down. The NED show was both funny and educational. Student appreciation day had the basketball competition, the obstacle course, and donuts! I strained my voice screaming to the B teams and when the teachers competed with each other. The obstacle course was short, but sweet to watch the kids run and forget what they were supposed to do. Mrs. Tran brought us delicious donuts that we all ate. I think they were amazing.
Catholic Schools week was fun for me and some other people in this school. I enjoy the sports day. It was a good week. The holy jeopardy was exciting because you don’t no who is going to win. i saw people dress up in what they want to be. I know 7B was going to win because they have big and good player. Mrs. Tran even brought us donuts. I like ned with the yo yo.
I had fun at the tournament and the obstacle course. I also had fun at holy jeopardy. I liked the part when Mr. T was playing basketball. Sr. Irene was the best at basketball also.

It was fun at catholic school I don’t remember it but I still

I had so much fun. Every year it gets better. The basketball was so much fun especialy when the teachers played. I really like it.
It was fun but 4th grade should have been part of the basketball contest.
Wow. I reall loved this week. Me and my friends had so much fun watching our class compete for the championships. But, boo-hoo…we lost. But still—this is the coolest school.
I really think sixth grade will be great for me.
Yes, the school had a nice week but on a sad note-
someone in 4B or daycare decided to take Ms. Ramos’ box of Chocolates that a student brought to her on Friday.
I would think that someone would have seen something.
I can’t believe Mr . T got all the shots at the teachers basketball game on Catholic Schools Week !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m very thankful for SGES for providing excellent, quality education to our kids, with its proficient and loving staff and a school of character. We are lucky to have this private school in the heart of San Fernando Valley. What i’m trying to tell everybody is that, we can unite and support this beautiful school.
The tiered tuition plan is exactly the plans that cater to all our needs, we have choices. As a single mother, the Gold plan is just the right thing for me. The school depends on tuition fees and fund raising and they need outr support. Speaking of this, I support Casino Night. This is a night of fun and relaxation for the stressed out parents and staff. Remember this is a fund raising activity, and it will serve for the betterment of our children and the future of SGES.
I would like to make a follow up if the the site that we are usi
